The Razor Cloud is jam-packed with features to satisfy the most discerning of cloud connoisseurs. Every cloud server includes:
Hardware failures are a fact of life. The Razor Cloud takes that into consideration and assumes that equipment sometimes fails. Our self-healing infrastructure assures that if the hardware your machine is running on fails, automatic failover ensures that your server will be brought back up on another node within seconds. Heartbeart monitoring checks each server every few seconds for responsiveness, and if a node fails that test, another node is automatically brought up to take over control. The end result? Your cloud instance stays up.
Whether you or your company are a Windows or a Linux shop, the Razor Cloud supports it all. Behind the scenes, we run Xen, KVM and OpenVZ (VMWare and HyperV support forthcoming) and support all operating systems which are compatible with that infrastructure. That includes (but is not limited to): Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Windows 7, CentOS, FreeBSD, Redhat, Debian, Ubuntu and Gentoo. Need a custom VM for your cloud? We can create a custom image to your specifications.
If you are interested in building your entire infrastructure on the Razor Cloud, we are rolling out what we like to call a VPDC – the Virtual Private Data Center. By virtualizing your data center, you can do away with the physical infrastructure costs and scale out your systems as needed. Servers can be placed in separate zones and you can manage your systems from an easy-to-use control panel.
Managing your server is as easy as visiting our website. Create, edit and destroy servers from a web-based control panel, or download an iPhone app to help manage your instances. Within the GUI, you can also monitor your servers and create or restore backups.
Backups are a cinch with the Razor Cloud. Within the web-based control panel, or via secured API access, you can create snapshots of your Cloud server at any time or on a automated, timed schedule. Restoring those backups is just as easy.
One of the great things about the Razor Cloud is how fast you can get your server up and running. Since everything is automated, as soon as you sign up you can spin up some servers.
